Grandeur of the Seas Earns Perfect Health Score

July 29, 2017

I read recently that Grandeur of the Seas, A Royal Caribbean cruise ship received a perfect 100 health score during an unannounced inspection that took place in early July by the Vessel Sanitation Program.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention just released that Grandeur of the Seas received a perfect 100 health score during a surprise inspection that took place on July 3, 2017.

Four Royal Caribbean cruise ships have received a perfect score in 2017.  Liberty of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, and Radiance of the Seas and now Grandeur of the Seas.

Twice a year, all cruise ships that sail to or from a U.S. cruise port goes through an unannounced public health inspection. The is completed by the Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) to determine how well the ships are operating and to the check the sanitation standards on board.

The ship must receive perfect marks on all 44 items to score a perfect 100!   A score of 85 or below is considered a failing score.

During the inspections, all major areas of the ship are inspected including medical facilities, portable water systems, swimming pools and hot tubs, galleys and dining rooms, child activity centers, hotel accommodations, ventilation systems, and common areas of the ship.

Grandeur of the Seas is currently sailing a variety of different cruises out of Baltimore, Maryland.  Contact us today to book your cruise and these CLEAN ships 🙂
