Last summer Kerry and I traveled to Johnson City, Tennessee for a girl’s weekend. We chose Johnson City randomly because it looked like equal distance for both of us to drive to.
Neither of us knew anything about Johnson City but were excited anyways. What a pleasant surprise Johnson City was. We loved it. We stayed at the Carnegie Hotel because we like nice hotels! Nice is an understatement for the Carnegie! The hotel is very elegant.
There is a parking garage with free parking in the back of the hotel. From there you enter into a lower level lobby with meeting spaces, the gym and the spa.
The pool is on the back side of the hotel also with a beautiful courtyard with sitting areas.
The rooms are very affordable and spacious. We had the king bed room, the furniture was very nice.
The sofa and desk area were very nice to have.
The bathroom was huge! The attention to detail is amazing in this hotel. The bathroom door was nice and the tiles on the floor were pretty.
There was a separate tub and shower.
Wellington’s Restaurant is located in the hotel and is very good. We ate there for dinner and breakfast, both were great!
The hotel is directly across the street from East Tennessee State University.
The hotel is also a few minutes from the downtown area where Kerry and I made it our mission to try as many restaurants as possible.
The hotel staff is really nice. On our way out we were able to check out a few of the suites! These are also very reasonably priced so next visit I think I’ll get a suite!
It was a great visit to Johnson City. We will have lots of information upcoming about this great town, the restaurants, the parks and the shops.
It was less than five hours to travel from Atlanta and about a six-hour drive from Maryland. We would love to plan your trip to Johnson City! Please contact us at: fabulousindeedvacations@gmail.com
