Sedona is such a wonderful place to visit. The drive to Sedona is amazing in itself. For this road trip we drove from Prescott on the very scenic Hwy North 89A. We stopped in Sedona for a wonderful lunch at Tamaliza Cafe. I would highly suggest this restaurant!
When you arrive at the Chapel of the Holy Cross you will see a small parking lot at the bottom and a lot of people assume you need to find parking there. I read ahead of time to just keep driving and there are more parking lots as you drive up further. I was skeptical but there was! At a temperature of 103 degrees on the day we visited in July we were thankful to park closer!
There isn’t a charge to visit and there aren’t any public restrooms in the Chapel.
The walkway up to the Chapel curves around and around with amazing views at each turn.
The Chapel’s architecture is stunning!
You can go inside and light candles are just sit and enjoy the peacefulness. There is a small gift shop downstairs.
I definitely think the Chapel of the Holy Cross is a must see in Sedona. It is only minutes from the main area of town where the shops and hotels are.
After our wonderful visit we continued on the amazing North 89A on our way to Flagstaff. There are no words for how beautiful that drive is!
From Sedona we continued our drive to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon.
