Aruba Jolly Pirates

On our 2013 Crown Princess cruise we docked in Aruba from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Kerry and I had researched our excursions ahead of time and decided to book with the Jolly Pirates! I think we found them doing online research because it was not an excursion through the cruise line.

The booking process, the affordable price and the timing all worked very well for us. We took a taxi to the beach where the Jolly Pirates depart from. They have a small office there and the check in process was very quick and easy. The beach is incredible; we arrived a little early and lounged at the beach for a bit. Everyone boarded a small boat and we were taken out to the pirate ship.

Right from the start it is high energy from the pirates and so much fun. They are so organized and the entire day was flawless. We stopped at three locations to snorkel. The first stop had rougher water than the other two. I think it was at the second stop that they served lunch. It was so good! Drinks are included and are served from the minute you board until you leave!

I can’t say enough about the pirates. They were so funny, playing jokes on one another and on some of the passengers. At the third snorkeling stop you can use the rope swing and swing overboard. It was so much fun. If you didn’t want to go alone you could go with a pirate. My daughter did this a few times and they did many flips into the water. She loved it. If you are headed to Aruba you should most definitely spend the day with the Jolly Pirates!

We were able to spend part of the day on the pirate ship and still had time to shop around Aruba.  We would love to plan your cruise or a trip to Aruba.  Please contact us at: fabulousindeedvacations@gmail.com
